I’m Posting Every Day In 2011

WordPress have started a Daily Post blog and I like the sound of it, similar to the many Flickr 365 days projects. With an unknown quantity of time on my hands, this could be quite a challenge. I am in resolute 2011 mode, however, so I will do my best.

Resolution 1: I will be posting on this blog once a day for all of 2011.

I know it won’t be easy, but it might be fun, inspiring, awesome and wonderful. Therefore I’m promising to make use of The DailyPost, and the community of other bloggers with similiar goals, to help me along the way, including asking for help when I need it and encouraging others when I can.

If you already read my blog, I hope you’ll encourage me.

  1. I’m thinking of joining this, too, as I “unofficially” try to post every day anyway.

I think this may be hard for you, unless you post a limitless supply of baby photos (which is nice but maybe not quite the point). Suggestion: prepare posts in advance. I’ve got about 3 posts ready at the moment and I try to write 2 a day until I run out of ideas. That way, I will never be behind. In my case, there are a book reviews so that’s easy of course (although I first have to read the books!).

I also plan posts for the coming week so I always know what I’m supposed to be blogging about.

    Anyway, good luck!

    1. Brilliant idea Judith. I also think it will be tough but if I can schedule at least a few posts a month ahead of time, it might be manageable. Some of them will have to be photos but it may be a nice change to be a different kind of creative.

I thought of you when I saw this challenge. You are quite prolific and love a challenge 🙂

  2. I look forward to reading the extra posts (and of course looking at some more of your great photos).

I guess having all the extra time on your hands (well time in the house anyway) will give you more than enough to write ample posts. Perhaps try branching out from your current set of topics (although it is already diverse 🙂 ) with the odd post about something you wouldn’t normal blog (such as a good tv show or movie).

I guess from your photos that your camera is rarely apart from you, so I’m sure that when you make it out the house you will come across some strange sites!

    Happy New Year!

    1. Happy New Year James! A good idea to branch out and write about stuff I wouldn’t delve into. Thank you for the comment 🙂
More photography stuff would be fabulous – I must get a new lens as well at some point.

  3. Happy new year! And good luck with this project. It sounds tough, especially with a new baby around the corner, but I’m sure you’ll find ways and means.
